Hello everyone, long time no see~!

I've not really been active, as this semester has been a bag of ass, workload-wise. But now I have something like a month off so I shall certainly try to grind out some arts~ I'm especially eager to start posting--on this account or my other--some concept sketches of a graphic series I've started work on (to be referred to as 9LoCA, for now). Aaaand also some random stuff of my roomies for last summer's Sicily trip (and next summer's trip to Greece!).

TRAVEL
With that art-related spiel out of the way, onto my travel nerding. Backpacking is off, because the whole trip had become unwieldy and expensive and I'm a big ol' cheapy. That said, I managed to allocate a few hundred for my college's Spring Break trip to New York City! It'll be in early March and I'm super psyched And of course there's my Greece trip with the McGill Classics department in May-June~

QUESTION
Seeing as there aren't any BJD/doll related hobby places up here in Montreal, and I'm going to be in NYC in March, I was wondering if anyone knows of any places selling BJD/doll stuff in NYC? Or if any exist? I only ask because I hate buying online...I like seeing things in person before putting out money on them

CHRISTMAS
And of course, what's an end-of-December post without mention of some festivities?
Even though I am an incredibly secular human being, my fam isn't, and we celebrate Christmas -- albeit the most washed-out nonreligious Christmas possible. It was great though!
Only child perk: presentssss. I got a purple 3DS (so unexpected!!), a Wonder Woman apron, 3 seasons of FRIENDS (2-3-4), The Fault in Our Stars, a travel journal, sock monkey slippers, Just Dance 4, some clothes, and a whooooole lot of chocolate.

I'll be spending my holidays out and about with friends, drawing and eating junk food, and most likely getting inebriated periodically. Yay rum!

So this has nothing to do with dA, I know, but I'm seriously psyched.

They've announced the date for the first meeting for my college's Greece/Turkey trip next summer, and it's in two weeks. Gahhhhh I'm such a planner, I'm dancing in my seat at the thought of getting the first details Dx

But yeah, after the Greece-Turkey trip (which should span two weeks in the end of May/beginning of June 2013), a bunch of my friends (and the bf) and I are going to most likely be backpacking across Europe for an additional month <3

My best friends Seafish and Rackerman (roommates of mine from summer 2012's Sicily-Rome trip), as well as MagicSpartan and a couple guys from our classes will be backpacking from Greece/Turkey to the UK, passing through Italy, Germany and France. I'm so psyched.

So yeah, that's it, just a teeny bit exhilerated

The wigs were 1) Blonde and 2) Crimson.

Spartan and I decided on the second one, but I'll post pics of both.

So I ordered two wigs from Leekeworld.com's Summer Wig Special: www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/…

Basically, the premise is that you can get 2 wigs for the price of one.....if you don't mind that color and style are completely random. Now, I've always been a bit of a gambler (I freaking love opening new packs of Pokemon cards, even though I don't play the TCG), and it seemed oddly fitting to gamble on her hair style, since I won Rei herself in a raffle.

_{Also, Spartan and I couldn't decide on a hair style or even hair color...he wanted natural/darkish, I wanted pale and whimsical...}

ANYWAY, so I decided to leave her hair color (and I'm going to be consistent with it for future wigs) entirely up to fate/the person boxing the wigs, and 30 dollars later (plus 22 for shipping Dx), I was left waiting at the mailbox for my parcel.

I had visions of hearing the doorbell ring and going out and signing for the package in some grand emotional moment, but really I just came home and found the notice from the post office on the kitchen table. I don't have any proof of address/ID so my mom has to go pick it up

But yeah, it's here, and I'll be opening it (taking photos all the while) once Spartan is back from the sunshine state.
